Dirt Floor Records is a new record label founded on the old principle of releasing great music. We are focused on getting back to the roots of what makes music important, and like to use words such as: album, headphones, vintage, analog, tape, faders, knobs, tube pre-amps, songwriter, unique, feel, ears, distortion, happy mistakes, soul, community, and a whole lot of others that make our hearts warm.
Dirt Floor Records is all about its artists, and is made up of some of the best songwriters in the country. While each is stylistically unique, there is a common thread of tradition that runs through all. It is that tradition that brings this label and each of its artists to an important place in the American (and Global) musical timeline.
It has become painfully apparent that it is the job of the independent record label to pick up where the "big guys" are falling short. We believe that the tradition and soul of music is alive and well, and are proud to be a part in this ever-changing industry.
